Certified-B Provider Course Offerings
We offer a full range of courses for Certified-B Home Providers and their substitutes.
Certified-B Precertification
We teach 5 1-hour introductory course to give the Certified-B Home Provider and/or their Substitutes a basic understanding in the following areas:
Guiding Children's Behavior
Chid Abuse & Neglect
Stop Diseases in Your Child Care
First Aid in Family Child Care
Home Safety in Family Child Care
Communicable Disease
The area of Communicable Diseases is the one that is most rapidly changing. Our instructor attends updates from the ODJFS and ODH whenever they are available, and constantly researches the most recent information from ODJFS, ODH and the CDC to make sure the material presented to students is the most current available.
For Certified-B providers, we offer a 6-hour course and a 3-hour review that are tailored to the OAC and ORC that are specific to Certified-B Home Providers.
Child Abuse Recognition & Prevention
While not as frequent as those in Communicable Disease, theyre are a number of new items related to Child Abuse Recognition & Prevention, the most signicant of which deals with the Criminal Background Checks.
For Certified-B providers, we offer a 6-hour course and a 3-hour review that are tailored to the OAC and ORC that are specific to Certified-B Home Providers.
