The Germ Patrol's History

The Germ Patrol was founded as a teaching company in 2006 to meet the needs of local child care centers who expressed a need for more flexibility in being able to train their staff.

We specialize in teaching Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services State curriculum and provide training for Child Care Center staff, Type A Homes and Certified Type B Home Providers.

The Germ Patrol is an ODJFS-approved training facility.  Our instructor can bring the required courses to your facility, thereby making the requirements more easily attainable, convenient and less costly.  If you prefer, we can provide a comfortable offsite, training facility at Walsh University for daily, evening and Saturday classes.

Teaching Locations
One of the unique features of our training is that you can come to us or we will come to your location to train you ... your choice!

From out location in Medina, we have travelled as far as Nashport in Muskingum County to help a new center meet its ODJFS training requirements.

In addition to coming to your Child Care center, Type A or Type B home, we have taught regularly at the following locations:

·        Child Care Resource Center in Lorain,

·        Walsh University's Medina Campus,

·        Lorain County Joint Vocational School, Oberlin, in the Early Childhood Education Department
